Green Bay non-profit offers a series of art and performance workshops for youth ages 6 to 18
The ARTgarage, a Green Bay-based non-profit dedicated to encouraging an appreciation for and participation in the visual, performing and literary arts, will begin accepting registrations March 1 for its 2018 Summer Art Workshops for youth. The organization is offering discounted registration fees during March and April.
Weekly art workshops take place Monday through Friday beginning June 11, 18 and 25, and July 9, 16 and 23 for ages 6 through 14. New this year is a series of performing and visual arts for ages 15 through 18, and performing arts for ages 9-14, that will help develop public speaking, performance, interpersonal communication, and comedy skills.
Classes are taught by talented professionals and educators in morning sessions from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and afternoon sessions from 1-4 p.m. Childcare will be provided during the lunch break at no charge for those who sign up for both morning and afternoon sessions. Early drop off beginning at 7:45 a.m. and late pick up ending at 4:45 p.m. are available for a small $2 fee for each. Payment of childcare fees are to be paid in advance with your online registration.
Class fees are $130 plus a materials fee ($10-$20) for those registering during March, $140 plus materials if registering during April, and $150 plus materials beginning May 1. Partial and full scholarships are available based on need. The deadline for scholarship applications is May 31 (link). Class sizes are limited.
