Custom printing sleeves are a staple of MECA & Technology Machine. Customized to fit your needs, MECA offers a variety of different sleeves at different sizes and made of different materials. The team at MECA has extensive manufacturing expertise and is a leader in the production of sleeves in the printing industry.
MECA & Technology Machine produces four different types of sleeves: anilox, bridge, flexographic and VSOP.
Anilox Sleeves
Manufactured using either aluminum or carbon fiber, MECA manufactures anilox sleeves for maximum press performance. Businesses can have these sleeves custom built for their needs. Carbon fiber is a newer material for customization. It offers the the rigidity of steel while only being about a quarter of the weight. Both materials are available from 6” to 120” and have a total indicated runout (TIR) of less than or equal to .001”. MECA’s has produced carbon fiber anilox sleeves in up to 120” lengths, which is believed to be the longest in the world.
Bridge Sleeves
Customized carbon fiber bridge sleeves from MECA & Technology Machine are designed for use with both steel and carbon fiber base mandrels. Not only is carbon fiber strong enough to withstand today’s press speeds, they absorb vibration better than steel mandrils, allowing them to operate at faster speeds. They are also available in lengths from 6” to 120”. Flexographic (Flexo) Printing Sleeves
Flexographic printing sleeves minimize downtime and shorten changeovers. Producing custom printing sleeves for your needs, MECA’s flexographic printing sleeves help reduce plate damage by being dimensionally stable and maintaining their original dimensions from job to job. The stability of these sleeves is valued by customers in the flexographic, tissue, and toweling industries. Custom flexographic printing sleeves are available in diameters ranging from 2” to 15” and lengths from 6” to 120”.
Variable Sleeve Offset Printing (VSOP) Plate and Blanket Sleeves
Available for film, paper, board and other substrates, MECA & Technology’s custom VSOP sleeves have a superior design and manufacturing expertise. MECA remains the only certified VSOP sleeve manufacturer in North America.
VSOP sleeves are manufactured with carbon fiber to retain its dimensions under various environmental conditions. Custom printing sleeves are available in repeats ranging from 15” to 44” and lengths from 12” to 60”.

The Manufacturer
MECA & Technology Machine launched in 1983 and employs approximately 50 people at its Green Bay, Wisconsin facility.
