Great food, drinks, and Midwest hospitality are a huge part of the Door County experience. On the Peninsula you’ll find everything from traditional Wisconsin supper clubs and fish boils to kid friendly classics that are perfect after a day at Ephraim beach.

Here are just a few of the Ephraim restaurants you’ll want to explore as you take part in the peninsula’s rich culinary scene (be sure to check their website and social media for up-to-date hours!):

  • Sunset Harbor Grill: Conveniently located on the second floor of Ephraim Shores resort, this from-scratch restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition to the quality food — the Door County summer salad with salmon, waffles with whipped cream and fresh berries, and Sunday night turkey dinner are some of our favorites. In addition, the view of Eagle Harbor can’t be beat.
  • Bad Moravian: This tiny spot serves beer, wine, and delicious Detroit-style pizza during the week (usually Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the occasional Friday). It’s a fun spot to grab a quick bite, and located just up the street from one of our other favorites, Chef’s Hat Cafe.
  • Pearl Wine Cottage: Located in a renovated cottage on Church Street, Pearl Wine Cottage has a large list of wines you’re likely not to see on other menus around the peninsula. They also have a delicious assortment of tapas and small plates. Consider joining them for a nightcap or as a first stop before dinner!
  • Wilson’s Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor: Just a few feet from Ephraim Shores, Wilson’s is well known as one of the best restaurants in Door County. In addition to their countless ice cream flavors, sundaes, and other frozen treats, they also have the best home-brewed draft root beer and flame-broiled burgers.
  • Chef’s Hat Cafe: Less than a block from Ephraim Shores Resort, the Chef’s Hat prides itself on quality fresh ingredients with a special twist — think traditional homemade comfort foods with a unique edge. You’ll love sitting on their outdoor patio with its amazing views of Eagle Harbor and Peninsula State Park.
  • Old Post Office Restaurant: If you’re looking to experience a traditional Door County fish boil, this is the place for you! You’ll learn about fish boil history from one of the peninsula’s best boil masters, Jeremy Klaubauf (you might have recently seen him on the new season of Top Chef!) before enjoying the locally-caught whitefish with all the fixings. Bonus: Old Post Office is also a great place to go for breakfast, too!
  • Prince of Pierogi: Located in the Shorewood Village Shops, Prince of Pierogi’s Polish owner felt strongly about making sure that there was delicious Polish food in Door County. Here you can indulge in traditional Polish cuisine like homemade pierogies (sweet or savory!), golabki (cabbage rolls), hunter’s stew and kielbasa hot dogs.
  • Good Eggs: One of the most popular grab-and-go breakfasts on the peninsula, you’ll love Good Eggs’ omelet wraps that are made to order right on the shores of Ephraim’s beautiful Eagle Harbor. It doesn’t get fresher than this!
  • The Summer Kitchen: Two miles away from Ephraim Shores, the Summer Kitchen is known for their amazing soups and salads. It’s also vegetarian and vegan friendly, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.

These are just a few of our favorites. We haven’t even gotten to Sip, Klaud’s Kitchen, Anatolia Cuisine, and The Fashionable!

No matter where you choose to eat in Ephraim, you won’t be disappointed. So, experience some of the best restaurants in Door County this summer, and take advantage of this foodie destination. We’ll be here to welcome you to Ephraim Shores Resort for your food tour!
