MECA & Technology Machine Takes Ground Gears to a Higher Level
July 23, 2014
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Gear grinding specialists at MECA & Technology Machine Inc. are helping customers reduce distortion and other issues generated by imperfections in power train and power transmission gears.
“Expertly ground gears provide benefits for our customers ranging from improved performance to enhanced equipment lifespan,” states Mick Karchinski, Vice President of Sales. “Our shop is one of the few in North America that can attain specifications reaching Class 10 and Class 12 (AGMA 10 and AGMA 12) quality for tolerance, which shows up in bottom-line results.”
Ground gears eliminate distortion and uneven wear, improving contact ratios to reduce gear noise levels and extend gearbox life. MECA & Technology Machine teams provide gear grinding service on new and refurbished gears, along with reverse-engineering older equipment when necessary.
