In-house artists and award-winning die striking deliver exceptional results
Wisconsin-based Medalcraft Mint has built a reputation as an elite company among medal manufacturers as a result of award-winning medal striking and a 99 percent on-time delivery rate. Medalcraft Mint’s catalog of custom coins, commemoratives and academic medals provide a lasting impression for recipients.
“Our customers depend on Medalcraft Mint to be a leader among medal manufacturers,” says Jerry Moran, owner and chief executive officer at Medalcraft Mint. “They are investing in their own reputation as well as the products themselves by doing businesswith us, and we are committed to delivering the high-quality work they deserve.”
Unlike some medal manufacturers, every aspect of the production process, from in-house design to custom packaging, occurs in Medalcraft Mint’s Green Bay facility. This ensures complete quality control and reliable, American-based customer service.
Medal manufacturers strive for excellence
Medalcraft Mint is not alone in its push for consistently high quality among medal manufacturers, but the awards it earns affirms the company achieves that goal on a regular basis.
“Receiving an award is certainly nice, but our biggest reward comes from customers who depend on us for their custom coins and other commemoratives year after year,” Moran says. “We are one of the few medal manufacturers who can deliver most orders within about three weeks of art approval rather than waiting for international shipments.”
Once a project’s art is approved by the customer, Medalcraft Mint’s craftsmen begin the process of engraving or hand-sculpting those designs into steel die block. The die striking process involves pressing metal into the die cavity to create exact impressions strike after strike. This technique results in images superior to the cast pieces produced by some medal manufacturers.
