Today, more people than ever are working from home or considering making the move away from a traditional 9-5 job. If this employment option appeals to you, Thorvie International is one of the premier home-based businesses to consider.
“Thorvie has been providing entrepreneurs with innovative products and services since 1977,” says Ken Frea, president of Thorvie International. “Whether you want to be a full-time entrepreneur or simply create a second income, we are confident our quality saw and tool sharpening equipment and business tools will have you on your way to success sooner than you think.”
Getting started with Thorvie is easy. When you purchase the AV-40 system, you’ll receive the AV-40 professional grinder. It sharpens saw blades, face, top and side grind, ranging from 1-7/8″ to 30″ diameter. It will also sharpen other cutting tools such as raised panel and profile cutters, anti-kickback router bits and shaper cutters. The AV-40 is compact and takes up minimal bench space, so it is perfect for a mobile business. It is also one of the easiest and fastest machines to set up and operate.
One of the major advantages in choosing to work with Thorvie is its comprehensive business support package. It includes sales techniques, information on where to purchase supplies, helpful tips and so much more. Support is always just a phone call or click away.
Rick’s Tip
There are a couple things to keep in mind when using the Thorvie International AV-38 Retipping Fixture to replace broken or chipped teeth in a saw blade. First, always align the stop finger up to an existing carbide tooth to match the proper hook angle on the saw blade. When you are brazing a new tip onto the saw blade, do not put any pressure on the saw blade to the stop finger as this will only squeeze the silver solder out of the joint and you will not get a proper solder joint. Simply keep a hand on the blade to help support it. As the solder on the replacement tip melts, the saw blade will rotate slightly to the replacement tip, giving you the proper solder joint. When applying the heat of the flame to the carbide replacement tip, start at the very top tip of the tooth. As the tooth gets red and the solder starts to flow, bring the flame to the bottom of the tooth and the blade so the solder flows along the entire tooth seat of the blade. Silver solder always flows toward the heat.
